2MILI

2MILI is a Denver-based rapper with an ethereal sound and carefree flow. For his debut mixtape, we wanted to create a mysterious, larger-than-life persona to embody the feeling of the tape.

The album cover was designed to appear as though a mythical figure, floating in a spacy and glitchy environment, had teleported to Earth, leaving a silhouette in its wake. The Impact font is used to convey the high-energy sounds of the project while maintaining a cheeky early 2000s aesthetic.

For the promotional photography and music video, a silhouette is spray-painted onto a wall to make it appear as though 2MILI magically appeared on Earth through a portal. This makes a statement that he is here, and the tape is coming. The graininess and underexposed style mimic the dark art direction of the album cover.
